There is a rumor floating around the Internet that says if your hard drive has failed ala the iPod "click of death" and you've tried all other repair paths, you can "whack" your iPod on a desk or table while it's starting up. Ipodmedics.com does not recommend this technique! As far as we can tell it does not work, and is a good way to ruin your chances of a future repair. If you think your hard drive is bad or failing, we can often fix your unit without replacing the hard drive.
